Roberta Fay (Robin) Wingate

Roberta Fay "Robin" Wingate, 72, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026. She was born in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late Robert Franklin "Bob" Wingate and Fay Helen Beaty Wingate. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Tami Wingate Hall; and her brother, Robert Kelly Wingate.

Ms. Wingate is survived by her brothers, Dana F. Wingate, Gerald M. "Jerry" Wingate, and Lloyd M. Wingate; special nieces and nephews, Salena Hall, Danyal Wingate, and Nathan Wingate; and a number of other nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Ms. Wingate will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Thrift United Methodist Church, Charlotte. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, Charlotte. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, at the church.
