Richard Dean Jolly

Richard "Rick" Dean Jolly, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 14, 2024. He was born in Gaston County, son of Joyce Ward Jolly and the late Max Lamar Jolly. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Shane Jolly and Jamie Jolly.

In addition to his mother, Rick is survived by his wife, Rhonda McMillan Jolly; his children, Cierra Jolly Cassidy (Addison) and Josh Jolly (Aria Conover); his grandchildren, Riley, Rosie, and Jay; and his very special nephew, Coleman Jolly.

Rick was a caring, passionate man with a huge servant's heart. Rick spent his life trying to make others' lives better as a volunteer firefighter for over 20 years, a dedicated little league coach and a true dependable friend.

A service to celebrate Rick's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Core Church, 2316 Acme Rd. Belmont, NC. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the church.
